As the economy starts to pick up again, employers across the country are looking for new opportunities to hire new employees. Freudenberg Household Products (FHP), which has been stationed in Aurora, Illinois, has partnered up with an other company to bring more jobs to the area.

The company recently announced that it has partnered with SP Berner to build a new manufacturing plant just south of the FHP current headquarters, according to the Beacon News.

FHP makes O-Cedar brooms, mops and other products, reports the news source. The new company, FHP-Berner, will create and supply FHP their products.

Berner is headquartered in Valencia, Spain, and has facilities in 35 countries.

Over the next couple of months, FHP will spend about $11 million to build a 101,000-square-foot plant, which will be the North American headquarters. The plant is expected to create more than 50 jobs within the first year.

This is good news for those who are looking for jobs when the national unemployment rate hovers around 9.6%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
