When being interviewed, you may be asked how much you know about the company. The likely want to know if you have done research, if you are passionate about working with them specifically, if there are any issues you might not know about, and whether you are a good fit with the company. There is a lot of information that can be conveyed with this question, so you should have a thorough answer.

Points to Emphasize

Without being too longwinded, you should share some extensive knowledge about the company. Keep in mind that your communication skills will also be especially evident while answering.

  • Do research beforehand. If this question comes up, you should have something to say. Even if it is not asked, you will want to know something about your potential workplace.

  • Be excited to work there. Your knowledge of the company can make it clear how passionate you are to become a part of it.

  • Be honest. You might know about the company from the outside, but information about the inner workings is likely unknown to you. This is a great opportunity to find out more.

  • Stay positive. It is not appropriate to bring up any negative things you have learned about the company.

    Mistakes You Should Avoid

  • Do not fail to interact. If the interviewer shares some information about the company, you should respond again. At least acknowledge it and communicate your interest.
