How to Write a Thank You Interview Letter

Companies usually receive several applicants for the job openings they post. They usually review each of the applicants to determine whom they want to interview. If you receive an interview, it is important to express your appreciation for the opportunity. A thank you interview letter is a great way to do this. You can write a letter thanking the interviewer for their time. In the letter, you can also reiterate the reasons you are right for the job.

It is important to create a thank you interview letter that is well written and heartfelt. This is a helpful way to solidify your interview performance and help the company know that you are the best fit for the job. In order to write a good letter, make sure to spend some time composing your thoughts.

Format and Content of the Letter

The person you are writing the thank you interview letter probably has several responsibilities. While they want to fill the position, it is likely that they have other responsibilities. For this reason, it is a good idea to express your gratitude for their time in the first portion of the thank you interview letter. Then, use the remaining paragraphs to outline the reasons you are right for the job. In addition, make sure to include the following details:

  • Your name and address
  • The date
  • The name, title, company name, and address of the person you interviewed with
