Dear Mr. Grundy,
Reading your listing for a Victim Advocate I admit I was intrigued. I am a professional social worker who has performed in this capacity for a variety of departments as demonstrated on my resume.Though I graduated from Lincoln College with a MS in Social Work in 1983 school started in children’s services. As you can imagine this was an intense stressful and emotionally draining position.
For over a decade I was a victim advocate for abused and abandoned children that found themselves innocently trapped in the court and foster care system. Since my experiences have led to working in homeless shelters for men women and families. I was a member of the City, State District Attorney’s Office acting as victim advocate and behavioral specialist and was part of the city’s education system in the same capacity.
My current responsibilities at Dayton Victim Advocate covers a lot of the duties listed in your post as well as several that I have an interest in exploring. I would love to come in and find out more. I am available for an interview at your convenience.
Sincerely Yours,
Madelynn Wilkinson
