Dear Mr. Sanderson,
I read with great interest your ad for an Assistant Librarian at the Monroe County Main Library and am submitting my resume for your review and consideration. I have a bachelor’s degree in information science am pursuing my master’s in library science and would like to put my education and experience to use at the main branch.
In my current position as School Librarian at James T. Madison High School I have had ongoing dealings with the main county library in support of our students’ research projects. The helpfulness of the staff there has made my job easier and I’d like to be in the position to help other library branches in their search for hard to find journals and research material. As Madison High School librarian I have trained and supervised library clerks overseen the collecting cataloging and organizing of library materials assisted readers in finding books addressed administrative issues and conducted promotional activities. I also organized multimedia programs displays and exhibits and have been involved in the acquisition of new library materials. I hope to discuss this growth opportunity with you soon. Please call me at the number shown above at your earliest convenience.
I look forward to helping county-wide residents find the material they need and adding to the Monroe County Library’s already fine reputation. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Tia Petersen
