Dear Mr. Bleach,
It has been rumored your company will soon be in need of a Negotiator. Whether this is true or not I had to send my resume on the side of caution. As you know I have been interested in joining your consultancy firm in this capacity for some time. I have over twelve years of experience sitting in rooms acting as mediator getting opposing parties to come to an agreement.
I have an Associate’s in Criminal Justice. It was during law enforcement courses on interrogation techniques that I learned I had a penchant for negotiation. Between diffusing stressful situations to questioning witnesses and suspects I became the one who got answers and pounded out solutions. After a job related injury that forced retirement I began working in the civil area. I have used use quick thinking analytical problem solving and the ability to control and guide a situation to help people realize the best safest and most logical ways to settle conflict. A negotiator has to have a strong character and know how to work hard.
If you review my resume you will see how effective I have been as a Negotiator for my employers. I think it would be a great idea to sit down and talk more about that and what it could mean to your organization.
Best Regards,
Felicity Weeks
