Dear Mr. Finch,
I read with great interest your ad for a Lorain County Assistant District Attorney and have attached my resume for your review and consideration. I have over a decade of experience as A.D.A. in Wellington County, and would like the opportunity to bring my special skill set to the Lorain County Court system.
In my current position, I am assigned to the division that investigates white-collar crime, including forgery, embezzlement, and official corruption. I investigate criminal activity allegations, conduct witness interviews, review documents that create a paper trail and work closely with financial investigators and detectives. Even though white-collar crimes, especially financial misdeeds, are difficult to explain to blue-collar juries, I am skilled at the opening and closing statements and have been a top litigator.
During law school, I clerked for a Chief Federal District Judge and later for the State Attorney General. Those experiences steeled me for the sheer volume of work required by the profession. As a result, I am capable of processing a large number of documents in a short amount of time in order to make timely, informed decisions.
I look forward to your call to discuss how I can increase the success and positive profile of the District Attorney’s Office in Lorain County as I have done in Wellington County. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Regards,
Josue Ortega
