Dear Mr. Roberts,
While attending the recent NASCIO conference in Nashville I learned of your search for a CIO. With my experience as CIO in a mid-sized manufacturing company I believe I am a highly qualified candidate and have attached my resume for your review and consideration.
In my current position I was hired into a company that didn’t have the ability to share data across departments. With degrees in both computer science and business administration I was able to bring all parties to the table to discuss their needs. I represented the IT department to management and explained the needs of management to IT. The result was the installation of an effective ERP system that linked the shop floor with management operations. Decision making was improved because for the first time management had an integrated view of the core business resources and production capacity. Raw materials were ordered on time freight costs and scrap were reduced and data was shared across departments. A company’s IT department doesn’t exist in a vacuum. It exists to help business do a better job. I understand both sides of that coin.
I look forward to your call to discuss this opportunity and to explain further why I believe I’m the man you’re looking for. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Nolan Santana
