Dear Mr. Torress,
As you know I am interested in a position as a volunteer firefighter with the department. As you requested I am submitting the relevant documents and my resume. This includes my most record medical records and my certification. I am ready to partake in any other examinations that you may want to improve my chances of getting the position.
I was with the City, State fire department for 25 years before retiring with honors and six recommendations on my record. I have relocated to New Parkland but feel I still have something to contribute to my community. While I know I may not be physically capable of the more strenuous requirements of the job I am in good health and capable of supporting the ranks in any and every way possible. Firefighting has been a part of my family for four generations which includes my two sons. I feel my place is in a station house at the very least training and mentoring tomorrow’s heroes.
A station house only operates at peak when the team attitude is enthusiastic. I would do my part to make sure your people are always happy and ready to serve their community. Give me a call so we can talk more about this.
Best Regards,
Shayna Booker
