Those looking to enter the business world know that a degree on a resume from a well-respected school can help them land a good job after graduation. According to a new survey by U.S. News and World Report, Tulane’s A.B. Freeman School of Business is the number 1 institution in the U.S. when it comes to job placement rates for last year’s master of business administration (MBA) graduates.

The new report found that more than 98 percent of Tulane MBA graduates from the Louisiana school found employment within just 3 months of finishing classes.

Ira Solomon, business school dean, told the Tulane Hullabaloo that he’s impressed, although not totally surprised, by the new ranking.

Our curriculum is state of the art, the faculty is outstanding, and we try to help our students go out into the world of work as prepared as possible, Solomon said. “We always look to see if there’s opportunities to do anything better, since we have more students than we used to have prior to Hurricane Katrina. In fact, masters of accounting placement is virtually 100 percent.”

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that employment opportunities for business administrative services managers are expected to increase by 15% through 2020.
