Dear Walton,
On behalf of everyone here at Company Name, congratulations on your retirement!
I do not know if you are aware of this, but your tenure with us makes you the organization’s longest full time employee. Add in your start as a part time employee, you are the employee that has been with Westminster longer than anyone, even the franchise’s founder. He was only with Westminster 22 years before selling the first three locations to a London real estate firm in 1974. You are certainly the only employee who ever set foot in the very first Westminster!
But all that is almost incidental. What I believe matters most here is your retirement ends an era that we will never see again. From runner to Senior Concierge, you have been a stable. You have been a source of comfort. Your dedication and loyalty, your strong devotion to customer service and hospitality, has been an inspiration to staff and a boon to our guests.
I could not let you leave without acknowledging your contributions to Company Name’s reputation for excellence. On the 15th of this month, we will be honoring you with an employee dinner and an award for your service. We will want you and your entire family to be there.
Best regards,
Madelynn Wilkinson
