Dear Mr. Billings,
As you know I was unable to make my 3.00 p.m. appointment yesterday which would have been my third interview for the Warehouse Manager position at Hampton Industries. I called your office and left a message that I’d been involved in a minor car accident on my way to the interview but I wanted to apologize to you personally. I know your time is valuable. I also want to restate my interest in the position and hope that this unfortunate incident won’t negatively impact your hiring decision.
I’ve contacted your assistant to reschedule the interview and will wait to hear back but want you to know that I’m available at any time that best suits your schedule. Although we have not yet met the people I’ve already interviewed with Ð Ms. Harper and Mr. Baxter Ð were impressed enough with my credentials to recommend the interview. I hope their recommendation still stands and that I will have the opportunity to prove that their assessment of my skills and experience is sound.
I look forward to hearing from your office to reschedule and again my apologies.
Regards,
Jameson Gould
