Dear Ms. Nickles,
This termination letter is being written on behalf of the law firm of Price, Atkins and Smith and serves as formal notice of your termination due to your performance. Your termination was effective as of April 1, 2015, as per our in-person meeting regarding this matter on the morning of your termination date.
The reason for your termination is due to repeated performance issues. On several occasions, you either failed to complete your assigned duties on time or neglected to do such duties at all. In one such instance, your failure to complete the requested research resulted in the firm almost losing an important case. This is unacceptable and certainly not in keeping with the firm’s stellar reputation for excellence.
Your final paycheck was sent to you via FedEx on April 1, 2015 following the in-person notification of your termination. According to FedEx, you received it and signed for it. Following a review by HR, you will receive a separate letter detailing any other benefits you may be entitled to receive with instructions regarding disbursement.
Regards,
Victoria Winters, Esq.
