Dear Mr. Frank Gillan,
I am writing this letter as formal notice of my resignation from my apprentice plumber position at Gillan Plumbing. I have been offered a full-time job with another company, which I feel is a wonderful opportunity that I cannot pass up. I will be able remain on the job until April 30th.
I want to thank you for the opportunity to apprentice with your company. I had many valuable experiences while working on various projects with some truly amazing co-workers and supervisors. I appreciate having learned how to handle many situations, especially those unexpected moments that cannot be taught or experienced in a classroom.
Since my new job doesn’t start until next month, I will be able to remain on the job to help with the project I’ve been working on for the past week. If you need help training a replacement, please just ask. Should you have any questions, please call me at 000-000-0000 if you don’t see me at the work site.
Many Thanks,
Vince Jacobs
