Dear Ms. Hope,
It is with some sadness that I formally accept your resignation.
You submitted it over a week ago and you can see I have had a hard time responding to it. You and I have been with Company Name a combined 33 years. You have been my dependable right Ð and left Ð hand for longer than I would care to admit. Your drive has always keep our operations on point and I am embarrassed to say any time I was congratulated or awarded for a job well done, I should have blurted out it was only because of your selfless contributions.
I am aware how your priorities have changed. I can remember when you were the first in the office and seemed to still be there when the rest of us went home and came back the next day. I knew when you got married you would give your family the same dedication and support that you have shown me and this company. I have seen hints of the pressure of balancing your family life with your time-demanding responsibilities here.
Your loyalty knows no bounds and as you become a mother for a second time I wish you the best of luck in all your endeavors. Everyone at Company Name is going to miss your spirit, support and enthusiasm.
Best regards,
Shayna Booker
