Travel Promotions Act Could Create More Than 40,000 Careers in Hospitality

 The government is hoping to boost US travel
Since the economy has made many Americans cut back on their spending, the tourism industry has suffered. Although more people are beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel and are beginning to open their wallets a bit more, there is still a way to go. Still, many remain hopeful that if tourism is promoted, more people will be more inclined to take vacations again.

On Friday, the Senate passed the Travel Promotion bill, which may create more than 500,000 careers for the hospitality industry, according to the American Chronicle. The Travel Promotion Act is still waiting to go into effect, but some believe that it could potentially create an additional 40,000 jobs in America by promoting the country to international visitors as a hot destination.

According to the news provider, traveling generates more than $1.3 trillion of economic activity in the United States every year and supports approximately 8.3 million careers.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that career in the hospitality industry are expected to increase by 5% by 2018.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19641241-ADNFCR
