Maryland?s Hospitality Industry Growing Fast

The hospitality industry is continuing to expanding the recovering economy and has been quick to hire those who are interested in being part of one of the most dynamic fields. Covering everything from restaurants, hotels and banquets it’s no wonder that hospitality is an attractive career path for many people.

According to bizjournals.com, the hospitality industry in Maryland is growing drastically this summer and actively looking to fill more jobs.

The sector made up for more than 60% of Maryland’s total job creation and accounted for more than 80% of all positions created in the private sector.

Hotels and restaurants are still looking to hire, according to the news source, which cites a management job at the Bahama Breeze in Towson and a banquet manager opening for Martin’s Caterers.

On a national level, the hospitality industry grew by 5,800 jobs in June and added 21,900 jobs during the first half of the year, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19912906-ADNFCR
