After the tourism field took a big hit during the country's economic crisis, individuals are beginning to travel again. This opens an array of possibilities for careers in hotel management. Several hotel chains have already reported expansions around the country in the near future as they begin to see an increase in the number of patrons. Other areas are experiencing a flourish in tourism, creating the need for more lodging.

The Loews Atlanta hotel is preparing to open later in the springtime, however the establishment first has to fill the 250 positions it takes to run it, according to Atlanta's NBC affiliate, 11 Alive. General manger Dale McDaniel told the news provider that the surge in jobs will not only be good for the hotel, but also for the local community.

"We offer a great work experience for people with outstanding wages," he said. "And so it's very positive for the community. And it's great for us, because we have a lot of great staff to choose from."

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, careers in hotel management are supposed to increase by 5% across the country by 2018.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19611984-ADNFCR
