In a struggling economy, preparing for the job hunt is key. As many companies are looking for only the most qualified of candidates, it's a good idea for a job seeker to plump up their resume and practice their interviewing skills. The resume is a way to set up a potential interview – if employers like what they see on paper, they have a better chance of calling for a meeting.

Although many people may think jobs are few and far between, one man has proven that theory wrong. Dan Seddiqui of California recently got 50 jobs in 50 states in 50 weeks, according to CTV News.

The news provider reveals that the resume is key for making a good first impression. A recent poll conducted on CEOs found that 1 in 5 employers would completely reject a resume because of a single typo.
