As more job openings are starting to pop up than before, competition for those positions are as high as ever. However, there are certain things that can make a resume stand out in a sky high pile.

According to CBS12.com, there are certain things people can do to make sure that their resume can guarantee them an interview.

When constructing a resume, it may be a good idea for the applicant to add something that makes their resume stand out from the others, such as using a small graphic by their name. It will make it easy to remember, if done appropriately.

Make sure that the resume being submitted is well organized and easy to read - there is nothing worse than having a hiring manager get confused while reading it. Have friends read it over, they may catch things that may have been over looked.

If applying to a wide range of jobs, feel free to create more than one resume. Make sure that each resume is tailored to each job, and highlights the skills that are important for the available job.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate in June dropped from 9.7% to 9.5%.
