When the economy is fickle, some will choose to become their own bosses. Now some of those entrepreneurs in one city will be able to not only allow their businesses to grow, but also to expand the economic centers of the city.

As a part of the Philadelphia's Business Privilege Tax Credit Program, Deloitte LLP announced that it will donate $1 million dollars over the next 10 years to the Enterprise Center Community Development Cooperation. The tax credit program will allow for taxes to be offset on contributions to the community center.

"Through entrepreneurship and a strong community bond, The Enterprise Center Community Development Corporation is helping to stimulate economic growth and development while revitalizing the surrounding neighborhoods," said Tara L. Weiner, managing partner of Deloitte LLP in the Greater Philadelphia Region, "It is creating positive outcomes for families, schools and businesses in the communities that it serves."

The ECCDC plans to use that money to continue the following initiatives: education collaborative, Walnut Hill Community Farm and a Center for Culinary Enterprises.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19795601-ADNFCR
