Many people who have turned away from teaching for fields that offer better monetary compensation may want to consider revamping their resumes as President Barack Obama pushes a national campaign for education revival.

President Obama has been touring the country saying it's time to give educators the respect they deserve. Obama recently visited a public high school in Massachusetts to talk about education reform and the need to recruit more teachers at all levels, according to the Boston Herald.

The president told a group of students and teachers at the TechBoston Academy that in order to revitalize the nation's education system, the country has to treat teaching as an honored profession. Obama noted that in South Korea teachers are often referred to as "nation-builders."

"It's time we treated the people who educate our children with the same level of respect. We have to reward good teachers," Obama told the crowd.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that job opportunities for professionals in educational services are expected to be good through 2018, as many educators get ready to retire.
