Many individuals enter careers in teaching in order to make a difference in their students' lives by helping them succeed academically. The nation is currently pushing for education reform to ensure that students are receiving the best tutorials possible, enabling them to carry their knowledge throughout their lives.

Because of this push, many individuals with teaching careers are finding themselves having to ensure that their students are receiving the highest quality of education. The state of Florida is trying to pass a legislation that would make teachers' compensation based on their students' performance, according to CFNews13.com.

The bill suggests a merit pay system for teachers based on how well their students perform on standardized tests. Additionally, should they have low performing students, a teacher could find their career in jeopardy as their annual contract might not be renewed. Some school districts are against the bill because they find the process could be too costly for their already tight budget.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, careers in teaching are expected to increase by 13% by 2018.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19667583-ADNFCR
