A child has many influences in his or her life, though the bond created with their childcare provider may be one of the more special ones because of the amount of time the two spend together.

In an effort to celebrate that bond, and to say a much-deserved "thank you" to childcare workers, the International Nanny Association (INA) is asking all such workers to celebrate together during the Week of the Young Child, which runs from April 19 to 25.

Additionally, the INA is holding a conference in Dallas, Texas, from April 23 to 26 honoring "young children and all those who make a difference in children's lives."

"Week of the Young Child is time to recognize the importance of early learning for all young children, and to bring in-home child care providers together to help give all young children a great start," said Susan Tokayer, co-president of INA.

People interested in a career in childcare may have plenty of job prospects in the near future, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Employment of childcare workers is projected to increase by 18 percent through 2016 with a projected 248,000 new jobs expected to arise.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19106130-ADNFCR
