Legal training can help a student develop penetrating analytical skills and an exhaustive work ethic. Lawyers, in their ever-changing interpretations of the legal statutes which govern society's actions, prove that the practice of their craft is not always "by the book." In many instances, rather, attorneys are expected to give order to circumstances which are anything but orderly.

Joe Beltrami, a former criminal lawyer, will be given an honorary life membership to the Law Society of Scotland, the Dailey Record reports. The prominent attorney became famous in his career for his success as a legal representative, and for the notoriety of many of his clients.

In his career in law, Beltrami represented a mafia godfather, a confessed murderer, and a performing bear. He maintains that he was able to separate his defense of alleged criminals by maintaining a distance between his profession and his personal life. The attorney told the news source, "I see lawyers now who will walk out of court with their arm around a client's shoulders and I can't stand it. That's not how it should be."

In 2008, Beltrami was given a lifetime achievement award at the Law Awards of Scotland ceremony.

Research by the Bureau of Labor Statistics suggests that the employment of real estate brokers will experience an 11% increases in new jobs until 2016.
