The slow economic recovery is giving people the opportunity to go back to school and learn about a new career path. Law schools give students the opportunity to not only learn more about the legal system, but also to try out their skills in the changing legal world.

City University of New York (CUNY) is keeping ahead of the law school curve by offering a new program in immigration law this fall. The program will be offered by the School of Professional Studies and will award a certificate of immigration law studies to those who complete the course.

Students who will be enrolling in the new program will have the opportunity to learn about the legal system pertaining to immigration law - a hot topic due to various immigration reform plans and controversial rulings. There will be a variety of classes to choose from, ranging from Business Immigration Law to Proceedings in Immigration Court, which will allow students to learn about the ins and outs of the legal system.

The courses will be offered both online and in the classroom, according to CUNY, making it easier for everyone to access the classes in this growing segment of law.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of lawyers is expected to increase by 13% between 2008 and 2018.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19912957-ADNFCR
