As businesses continue to integrate themselves into the newest software and devices, there could be an increase in career opportunities for the technology industry. As technology continues to reinvent itself with new programs abroad, there becomes a need for the U.S. to catch up.

President Barack Obama recently said he believed that technology jobs were the wave of the future in terms of employment. According to eWeek.com, although the president admits that America has a long way to go in terms of job opportunities, technology careers will be one of the brighter aspects of the employment market.

Obama told the news provider that he believes that as long as the nation continues to support its own endeavors, rather than boosting jobs overseas, there will be an increase in the number of employment opportunities.

"Instead of sending jobs overseas, we need to send more products overseas that are made by American workers and American business," Obama said. "And we need to train our workers for those jobs with new skills and a world-class education. Other countries already realize this. They're putting more emphasis on math and science."

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs in the technology field will increase by 17% by 2018.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19630243-ADNFCR
