Women in Aviation International Promote Scholarships

The downward trending economy has caused many people to think about their careers, and because of that, many people have decided to go back to school in order to pursue a career change. One industry training center is offering a little bit of help, for those looking for a change.

Women in Aviation International has many scholarships available for people who are looking to enhance their career through technical training and even flight training, according to the Springfield News Sun.

Scholarships are available through the organization, which is based in Preble County, Ohio, for those who want to start a career and those who are switching career paths.

The organization will sponsor a forum at the end of July during the annual aviation gathering at Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the Experimental Aircraft Association's Adventure Oshkosh 2010, according to the news source.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the aviation industry is expected to grow by at least 12% between 2008 and 2018. The predicted growth is attributed to the fact that airline are expanding their capacity and increasing the number of flights offered to the public.
