As the tight job market begins to loosen, career hopefuls are clamoring to the open positions trying to attract the attention of potential employers. While jobs are beginning to open, they still do not meet the need for the 14.9 million Americans who are out of work. The interview circuit can be a time-consuming process, but potential employees must stay on their game in order to impress. There are a few preemptive measures that career seekers can take in order to procure a potential position, according to MSNBC. Dressing the part is key. Job seekers may want to try a conservative look and try not to follow trends, in order to appear neutral and formal. According to the news provider, opting for colors such as blue, gray and beige could work as complementary colors that aren't too flashy on the eyes. Also, career seekers may want to research the company they're interviewing with and try to dress one or two formal levels up from their standard attire, to ensure they are not too underdressed. According to the Seattle Times, there could be as many as 300,000 job creations during the month of March. |
