As jobs in the retail sector continue to show growth, Wake Forest University in North Carolina will unveil a new collaboration that is designed to help business students and professionals add more hands-on experience to their resume as they head out into the job market.

The school said that the new Center for Value Delivery Innovation is a first-of-its-kind retail partnership that will help the industry stay ahead of consumer trends. The center will also help develop new ideas and train working retail professionals to foster change in the industry.

Dean of Business Steve Reinemund, who is also the retired chief executive officer of PepsiCo, said that the center will also offer an array of marketing training to help drive consumer growth.

"The Wake Forest Center for Value Delivery Innovation will provide a unique combination of knowledge creation, channel partner collaboration and leader cultivation -- something not found anywhere else today," Reinemund noted. "The Center will enable and empower retail marketers to compete more effectively during this challenging economic climate."

The center will be open year-round.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that job opportunities for business administrative managers are expected to grow by 12% through 2018.
