Many believe that small businesses will lead to the economic recovery the country has been wishing for. They provide the opportunity for many individuals to either start their own company or simply become gainfully employed without having to go through years of extra schooling. The hope is that with the recovery of small businesses, there will be more job opportunity for the large number of unemployed Americans.

After urging banks to start handing out more loans to small businesses, President Barack Obama recently signed a bill providing more funding to the Small Business Association (SBA) with the hopes enhancing grants by $4.5 billion through February, according to the Wall Street Journal.

"Small businesses have been left in limbo since the funding ran out," said Mary Landrieu (D-La.), one of the senators who requested the extension. "[The legislation] will provide a lifeline to small businesses in need of credit."

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, a small business could be a great way to start a career, as 12.8 million workers in small firms are under 25, compared to 9.4 million in large corporations.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19529432-ADNFCR
