The economy is regaining its footing and businesses across all industries are looking to add jobs, much to the relief of those who are currently looking for a job.

According to WAOW-TV, Marshfield, Wisconsin, is prepping itself for Prevention Genetics’ expansion. The company, which receives and tests clinical DNA specimens from all over the world, is rapidly growing. With the planned expansion, the company is expected to create 51 new jobs.

“We have exhausted our existing space or current capacity so we will be building a new building in September [to be] completed next April,” James Weber, president of Prevention Genetics, said to the news source. “One of the reasons I founded the company was to help build a local economy, so every time we hire a new person that’s a great pleasure for us.”

Governor Jim Doyle awarded the company $329,000 in tax cuts, in order for the business to create a new facility and hire new employees.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate for July 2010 was 9.5%.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19925327-ADNFCR
